Highlight Portfolio
In this thread of designs, I want to show my capabilities of designing across different styles and mediums. I love design and I want my eye for design and creativity beyond simply graphic design to be seen through this presentation.
Magazine Design
In this project, I delved into the field of magazine design. My hope for the project was for the beauty of Africa to be shown in a VOGUE inspired magazine cover while mastering the art of Photoshop with a striking, clean cut out of the model.
I also further explored Illustrator and was able to actually create the marble background you can see in the design.
I felt that it was highly important to try to pursue a concept that both embraces black beauty and dark skinned woman's unappreciated beauty, while also providing the rest of the design with modern, simplistic elements that created a natural elegance.

Visual Design
For this project, I was tasked with making a portfolio centered around my personal graphic design taste and style, as well as a piece that brings out my personality. My goal for the look book was to make it feel light, airy, and feminine while also showing the beauty of being a black girl and give it a bit of a Gen Z twist.
I made this using Photoshop and Illustrator and it was actually my first time making cut outs. Nonetheless, I wanted the vibe to be clean but perfectly unperfect.
Event Flyer Design
In this project, I worked on a project for the organization I was an executive member on: O.A.S.I.S. OASIS is the biggest African organization at UNC and is one of the biggest minority organizations at UNC as well.
This event is a major event for OASIS every fall semester. It's purpose is to bring students from different backgrounds and cultures into one huge show that showcases dance and performances representing their communities.
A lot of the minority organizations at UNC reach out in order to be a part of this showing, and not all can be accepted, so it's a big deal! It was an honor for me to have this opportunity to design for an event with this level of magnitude within my community.

Social Media Design
When it comes to OASIS, there are big events that attract a lot of attention and smaller events that are meant to bring the Black community together to make friends, do activities, and just relax from the busy life of being a student.
In this design, you can see that this community bonding event is centered around bracelet making. This was made intentionally around the holiday, Valentine's Day, to stir up excitement for the AfroProm we would have that celebrated Black love.
I made sure to find pictures that were delicate and color coordinated with the holiday's common known color scheme: pink, red, white, and gold. I did the painting of the background purely on my own and I still remember the amount of time it took to edit the bracelet and hands. I ended up loving this design due to it showcasing my favorite color (pink) and one of my favorite holidays (Valentine's Day).
E-Commerce Design
In this project, I was tasked with using Adobe XD alone to redesign the SHEIN website in a more user-friendly, and digestible, way.
I show the entire process on the "Projects" page, but this was one of my most research heavy UX projects I've done. With real life usability tests, research, low and high fidelity designs, and more, I was tested for weeks and I truly love the end result.

Photoshop
For this project, I delved into the program of Photoshop and this was truly one of my favorite projects that I had made before really getting into Photoshop.
Crazily enough, this was one of my very first Photoshop projects under OASIS and I really got to show off what I could do through being the Publicity Chair for the organization. My background in drawing when I was younger and focusing on presentation design during my late middle school and high school years have helped me greatly in my current digital design skills.
I love to create bright, engaging pieces of design sometimes and this piece was no expectation!
Website Design
When it comes to this project, its goal was to revolutionize the Netflix website interface, introducing elements of global accessibility, innovation, and a more engaging way to showcase the vast content library. With a focus on creating an inclusive design that caters to diverse audiences worldwide, the redesign aimed to provide a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Through innovative features and strategic content placements, the goal was to captivate audiences from the moment they landed on the site. Despite not being implemented for promotional purposes, the project opened up discussions on the potential of leveraging its concepts for future enhancements to the Netflix platform, emphasizing the company's commitment to staying at the forefront of user experience and content delivery.

Presentation Design
For this project, I had a blast, I truly did. It was a project about one of the most inspiring apps to me that I am a user of and am still in love with to this day.
As you can tell, this project is all about Pinterest, and I am so proud to say that this entire title page was created by me from scratch as well as the entire presentation layout. That goes for all of the presentations featured below as well, but I am especially proud of this one due to the fact that I was basing it off of a specific source material: the Pinterest website. I wanted the presentation to literally feel like you were on Pinterest. And luckily, my professor and my group absolutely loved it and appreciated the hours of work it took to make it happen!
